July & August Beauty Haul | Mixsoon, Omaricode Complexion Sticks, Tawa Beauty, Uncover, JuneDerm, Amali & More

26.8.24 Lagos, Nigeria

It's the last week of August and July is long over but this month can't go by without me sharing my makeup & skincare hauls from both months.

I promise, I'll try and make them more punctual and not so late in the month 😁

Asides my regular monthly haul, the second haul was from the Beauty Hut store launch so I'll share those first and go on to the 4 products I bought in July.

First up, is the CosRx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser. After my research for the review post on this product, I have quite literally being including this to all my skincare hauls. I got this one at the Beauty Hut store launch and I'll buy another one at my next haul as well too.

I was having a conversation about Nigerian beauty brands that understand the value of real marketing with Mercy Familusi when she referred to this brand which is a Client of hers. I'll be honest, I'm not a super fan of hand creams but I think I'm already fascinated by the Amali Hand Nutrition cream. Can't wait to try it and do a proper review.

Like you already know, the SkinScience Gly/Sal Cleanser is my holy graille cleanser. If it's so good, I decided to try another SkinScience product. Besides, will I only EVER use just the Uncover Sunscreen? I need to try out other sunscreen products.

Here is another product recommendation from Mercy. I've read about JuneDerm as a brand from the Beauty In Lagos website, but I never acted on it. Figured that since I've a running battle with my face being darker than the rest of my body, I might as well try the JuneDerm Brightening Discolouration Fade serum and see if it has enough tyrosinase inhibitors to get my face to match the rest of my body.

This was kind of a no-brainer for me - I love the Creighton's Salicylic acid toner and I'm also trying to discover other Vitamin C serums. So of course I picked this up.

Have you ever heard of the Korean 7-skin Method? That's the express reason why I got the Uncover Rooibos Glow Toner again. I've reviewed it in my first Uncover Skincare review and my opinion hasn't changed. But, for the exact reasons why I don't use it as my regular toner, it is perfect for the 7-skin method. I'll let you know how that goes.

That's the end of my Beauty Hut store launch haul. Now, let's talk about the 4 products I included specifically in my budget because I wanted to try them out.

I put the Mixsoon Bean Essence on my to-get list after watching a video by Nikki Tutorials on how this product can exfoliate and hydrate at the same time but with different applications. Has it worked? Well, I'll know when I try it out.

Being a sucker for nude lipsticks, I knew I was definitely going to buy at least one of the Tawa Beauty lipsticks from Beauty Hut. They are a tad pricey but I'm hoping it is worth it.......although the packaging alone is worth the price though, lol.

ah, Omaricode has my heart o. I'll talk about that later. In the meantime, I really needed to try out their new releases - the bronzer and blush cream sticks called Flushed Fusion (blush) & Bronz'd Bae (bronzer). I purchased 2 each but apparently they were sold out so I'm waiting to receive the other shades of both.

This has been chasing me on IG so I finally decided to get it. If it does work, that'll be a heck of a chore taken off me when I need makeup brushes washed. If it doesn't work, so be it I guess.
