I'm not quite sure when I started loving the ombre lip trend and I've pretty much had humongous brows my whole life so nothing fancy there. Now the ombre lip on the other hand has been popular in Nigeria for simply decades. I mean, we all remember the classic wedding lip with wine liner, pink lipstick and white right in the middle of the lips.
The ombre lip doesn't look like that anymore as it has evolved into more experimental and adventurous variations which only the more daring try out. I'm not daring with my lips so I'd say some of these are off limits to me so I stay away.
I was feeling pretty daring and all kinds of fierce. Why, with my 5 days old super cute finger coils on short hair, really bold brows courtesy of the Blot Cosmetics gel liner which I used to draw and define them (and surprisingly found easy to use as it was my first time), blinding highlight courtesy of a BM|Pro bronzer and smokey eyes, who wouldn't? I did want to try something else on my lips but for some reason, I was drawn to this accidental ombre lip.
I can't remember exactly what product I used for the lip but I do remember that the Magnolia cosmetics cream palette came into play somehow. Of course there's some gloss as my lips are super shiny and I definitely remember black liner for the corners of my lips.
Perfect throwback for the first official day of the series don't you think?
