My Hair | On 'Seriously Speaking with Adesuwa Onyenokwe'...Hair We Go

I was on TV. Uhun, this time around I knew when, where and how. Not the other numerous sightings of me on TV which I never see, lol. It was on Seriously Speaking with Adesuwa and I got to talk about Natural Hair. This was recorded a couple of weeks before I did the big chop and came out last month so forgive the huge mane. It was totally unexpected and I really do need to say a big thank you to Ifeyinwa of loveifeyinwa.com as she was the one who recommended me as a guest on the show.

In true Barbara fashion, I didn't know what to wear so ended up wearing all Elsie Vintage, a cropped jacket and nude heels.....yes, heels. I wear them when it's absolutely unavoidable. This was one of those days. I was nervous - duh, my first time on a TV Interview? Of course I was. But at the lounge where we waited before the recording, I met my fellow guests - Omozo of O'Naturals, Kanyin of Tresses and Ashley of Chop & Blend and Adesuwa herself. We had a very lively conversation about Natural Hair and this helped to totally relax me.

Adesuwa Onyenokwe was so fascinated by the topic that instead of a 30 minutes show, she decided to split the 'Hair We Go' show into a 1 hour show ie. 2 shows. The first part was going to be the one on one interviews and the second part would be the roundtable where everyone got to talk all at once and be very lively.

It was absolutely wonderful to meet them all. We had dinner together after the show - here's a pic of us at dinner and promised that we'd hang out more but LAGOS has made it not possible *sigh*
