This time around, I not only attended Naturals in the City, but also got to take pictures of the different events and even product tables.
I arrived quite early and had enough time to chat with Olamide of www.livinginlekki.com about blogging, social media and other online stuff right before the Natural Hair talks began. Ekene of thekinkandi was the host of the talks kind of. She started off with getting people to talk about their hair journeys, why they started, how they started etc. I was sitting in front and so got to talk about mine. What did I say? What I have always said, I went natural because I was tired of screaming and shouting in the salon, simple.
Sandra of naijagirlnextdoor spoke about affordable hair care & using what you have to get what you need/want |
Nkechi Ofoegbu of Formula Botanica spoke about easily accessible natural skin care products |
Unfortunately (or fortunately rather), I'm not a product junkie and usually never carry cash to such events so I didn't buy anything even though I was lusting after some of the products, lol.
I came home with a bag of African Naturalistas products so I was pretty much in a good mood and not feeling sorry for myself when I was leaving *grin*
Will be posting my first impression of the African Naturalistas products ie. packaging et al really soon. Stay tuned for that.
Cheers,
